Real-Life Crystal Skulls Invoke Mayan Legend and Inspires New Indy Film

If you've seen the recently released Indiana Jones movie, then you'll recall the story's focus: the crystal skull that seems only to bring Indy and friends lots of trouble. Believe it or not, the crystal skulls at the center of the movie's plot are based on real objects. In case you haven't seen the film (and you should because it's bunches of fun), I won't go into the movie's version of the crystal skull stories. Once you've seen the movie, you can judge for yourself how closely (or not) it follows the real-life legends.
Here's what we know about the real crystal skulls. Today there are plenty of crystal skulls all over the world. Some or big, some are small and they all vary in design. However, there are only a few life-sized crystal skulls that are claimed to date back to the time of the Mayans and the Aztecs. There are several in private hands as well as one in the Smithsonian and another in the British Museum. The legend behind the awe-inspiring life-sized skulls claims that the objects possess psychic abilities and healing properties.
F A. Mitchell Hedges supposedly found a 12-pound quartz skull in some Mayan ruins in Central America. It was called "The Skull of Doom." According to Joe Nickell in his book Adventures in Paranormal Investigation, however, Hedges lied about where the object was found. It was actually purchased from a collector. There's not a single known case where a crystal skull was actually discovered in a ruin.
The evidence for the age of the skulls is shaky. There is a real Mayan legend that claims that the ancient Mayans possessed 13 crystal skulls and when they were all together — possessed the power to save the world. Taking a close look at the real-life crystal skulls shows no signs of carving and no evidence of tools, etc. That's the problem — how then were they made? Another problem — no one can trace the skulls back any further than the mid-19th century, where they mostly end up in the hands of traders.
A Smithsonian scientist examined the museum's own crystal skull (which she keeps in her office) and decided that it was a European forgery, probably made in the 18th century when Europe was crazy for pre-Hispanic artifacts. Putting the skull under a microscope reveals very minute markings that are not noticeable to the human eye. According to the Smithsonian, the marks left on this skull by the designer are much too reminiscent of modern technology — technology that would have been possible during Europe's craze for pre-Hispanic relics. Stylistically, the skulls do not match artistic styles utilized by ancient Mayans. As for its paranormal qualities, the skull has been sitting in her office for about 16 years and she's reported nothing unusual.
There are those that believe that extra-terrestrials created the skulls and brought them to Earth — that would explain why the technology used to create these skulls would appear so modern. If you know anything about Mayan or Aztec myth, this theory compliments them quite well. According to one of the myths, people inhabited 12 planets at one time.
In the jungles of Southern Mexico, the Lacandon, the last of the unassimilated Mayans, do worship a crystal skull and use it in their rituals. According to the Lacandon, the skull glows for about one minute during the night. They believe that the object possesses the power to prevent sickness and deforestation. The origin of that skull is also unknown, even to the Lacandon.
There's also a story that claims the Mayan calendar ends on December 21st 2012. This story claims that 13 crystal skulls must be brought together by that time in order to prevent the earth from falling off of its axis. Others believe that bringing the skulls together will allow world peace.
While the life-sized crystal skulls are largely believed by experts to be fakes, the Mayan legend remains... 13 crystal skulls — yet to be discovered?

During that era noted as the fall of Man … which included almost a countless number of Pyramid shaped Manuel Power Facilities falling from their High Celestial places…. it was also during this time that many of these Ancient Pyramid objects showed themselves in their Gleaming Colorful and Light Weight Exotic materials as they seemed to just float in mid air in their downward decline and dis-placement.
Each giant Pyramid Structure contained a Mystic Glowing Eye which was a Field of Highly accelerated Plasma Energy roaring of a great power as the Pyramid's Eye generating it's steady glow of Light. These Mystic Eye-lets being just one of the Pyramid's power Facilities, which had become contaminated causing a fall in their accelerated marc of Quantum Frequency. It was such a contamination of Eye-let Plasma Cores and their associated mass core that caused their Worlds to fall from High Celestial places.
Several falling Pyramid Facilities lowered themselves and their attached Land-scrape from upper positions to settle richly flourishing soil atop the crust of Earth's newly evolving surface. Other Facilities with their contaminated Power Facilities settled their Mystical Cities, or mobile and flying crafts in hidden areas throughout the planet and other distant places.
For a period of time all driven Ancient Pyramid Structures which had settled atop this planet remained visible to outside residence of this early evolving rock. Some were seen only temporarily as their gleaming structures and cities passed through visual view of Earth's reality. This is the era when there were Giants in the land.
As time past, each fallen Pyramid's Eye-let Fields of Accelerated Plasma Energy (which such Energy was referred to as the Spirit of MAN), and each their plasmatomic reactor core (which were referred to as the Flesh of MAN) ...
Each of these power Facilities had to under go a purging process …..
Such purging procedures caused a ‘Smelting Electric Furnace’ back-up of hot flowing minerals which filled every open area of the Pyramid's inner structural design … and a back-up burst of extreme heat caused a Crystallizing of the eye-let’s Field of accelerated energy …. such a mystic crystallizing gave shape to a center placed mold of the Pyramid’s Central Casing of it’s control modules which were referred to as a Crystal Skull …
After purging and solidifying of minerals, the actual Structure of each Exotic Pyramid continuing in it's frequency de-acceleration, did vanish from view to set in what is referred to as the first level of the Eighth Universal Plane, which is below a Dividing Firmament of space and time. Some refer to this zone as the first level of Hell or purgatory.
As Exotic Structures of each Pyramid vanished from the surface of this planet, each left behind a ‘Molded Stone Image’ of the inner Pyramid’s overall Facility … and also it left behind the ‘Global Eyelet‘s Crystallized Mold’ with it’s center placed ‘Crystallized Skull’ … But these such true ‘Mystic Formation of the Skull’ would have been as the elements of a priceless jewel … For each such Global and Crystallized Mold which had formed there inside the Pyramid's Eye-let, were in their later discovery, referred to as the Mother Load of diamonds … One such molded image has been referred to as King Solomon’s Mine.
Before the falling from High Celestial Place, and before contamination of Accelerated Plasma Cores, and before the Crystallizing of Accelerated Plasma Energy … each Eyelet of Energy would periodically weep crystallized precious stones as such stones would seem to appear in mid air and drop as tears, to later flow as a river of precious stones … and later to be discovered inner mixed with solidified rock minerals.

The Crystal Skulls were not made by the ancients or aliens, its quite irrational to think that nothing human can make these skulls. Several skulls have been tested and studied by scientists, and the ones that have been studied all came back showing evidence of a Polishing Wheel made in Germany, dating back to at the oldest 150 years. The "Max" and Mitchell Hedges Skulls have not and will not be allowed to be tested, hmmm I wonder why? maybe because they are fakes too. These skulls are nothing more than a work of art made by humans in the last 150 years. There is nothing ancient or alien about them. They cannot and will not save the world, they do not contain vast amounts of knowledge "stored" in the skulls. They are just well crafted skulls that hold no significance. unless of course you are an irrational woo woo believing nut job.

Evelyn Seed of David, clearly needs a strong dose of reality. I don't know where you came up with something so ridiculous, as the statement you made about pyramids coming down to Earth, alternate realities, and high celestial places. This is the most absurd thing I have ever seen. Why is it so hard for people to believe the Egyptians, and ancient cultures, couldn't build the things they built? Like the Pyramids. Do you have so little belief in humans that you have to make up some delusional story about aliens, coming and building pyramids? Or is the fact that humans alone created the pyramids and ancient structures on their own, too boring and bland for you? Get a dose of reality and get this out of your head. Read a real history book and appreciate what humans have done. Also, how can you believe such clear and obvious rubbish. How can you really say aliens helped build human society. How can you say this when there is not one shred of evidence, to support your deluded view of ancient cultures?

I must say, the the above story is quite magical, and has the makings for a great fantasy novel/movie! However...to be so close minded as Donk, and think something like that, couldn't happen, is a worse crime. We obviously are not the only ones in our solar system, and maybe we needed a little help getting "off the ground" so to speak. It's not that humans were not capable of accomplishing the many amazing wonders of the world, its that some individuals think their minds should have been more primitive thinking. I definitely believe there are different planes and levels of life, and afterlife. (from personal experience) The thought of alien life should be alot more believable than people coming back from the dead!! LOL

hm. i agree more with Lonely Catalope. That story was not complete rubbish as some would say. There is no such thing as "impossible" because who are you to know? you may get certain information but do you understand from personal experience that it is correct information? if you wish to stay in the cage that humans have built for our minds, to conform to what society has called for you to believe, then be my guest. If you wish to feel safe and secure in your lives that is not my choice. I for one wish to stay completely open minded and take ALL information in. Consider the possibilties of everything. decide for yourself what you think is probable. Although nothing is In-Probable. It is just information someone has given. do not bash what they say, especially if they think it is important. All are entitled to have something to say so please refrain from calling them "nut jobs" just because you dont think the same way as them. or maybe you are just an extremely close-minded person who wont listen to anyone.
No one knows the true origin of the skulls so don't say absolutly that it is not true or it is true. The Mayans and aztecs were extremely advanced societies and they conducted their lives in a way that we will never completly understand. We can try, and eventually we might succeed in unlocking their secrets. For now we must consider everything. all the possibilities our world holds. all the secrets. We need more people persuing careers that will help society move forward towards our goals. Towards the secrets of the unknown.
pay attention for all myths and legends have some truths.
