After that, more of those things started happening with other people in the room. A roll of tape off the Anesthesia machine fell up and over the ledge of the machine, just missing the Anesthesia doc who was sitting there. He just looked at it, and didn't really react, but I saw it come out from the machine. It was like it was launched or tossed out. At first I wondered if the roll of tape was stuck to the glass, and it just came loose and fell off the machine. I asked the nurse anesthetists when she came back if she had the tape stuck up on the glass and she said no, that she had it sitting on the machine. Then she asked me where it was. I told her to look on the floor. I tried to recreate it later when we were done. I taped a roll to the glass just barely so it would fall off, but all it did was roll off the side of the machine. What I saw was just like someone tossed it, it went at least 3 feet.

Just after that had happened, we all heard the step stools behind me make a noise. They were stacked neatly against the wall, and it sounded like somebody just knocked into them or picked one up and slammed it back down. I spun around expecting to see somebody behind me, whoever knocked into the stools to see if they were OK, and there was nobody there. I thought that I would also see the stools knocked over, but there were still neatly stacked on top of each other, just like they had been. Everybody in the room looked too and was wondering what the heck was going on. The doctor looked up at me and asked if I was alright, but saw that I had not moved from the O.R. table and was no where near the stools by the wall. I said out loud, "I guess I'll be moving over here," and I stepped over to my right, as soon as I did that, one of the big covers up on the windows (which we use to block out the light from the hallway when doing Laproscopic surgery) fell down off the window and hit the Anesthesia machine and would have hit me if I was still standing there had I not moved just a second before that. Now... I don't know if all of that what happened before that was to just get my attention, so I would move and not get hurt? You tell me, I don't know, but I made sure I thanked whoever that was that day. I thought it was all so very amazing and that it all happened in the middle of the day.
