The Ghosts of Relatives and Others

I have often wondered who the lady was in my great grandparents' house near Strasbourg, Saskatchewan Canada. She has been seen by my great aunt and her daughter as well as my mom and myself. I was only about 3 or 4 but I will never forget her. I woke one morning to see a lady dressed in black with lace at her throat and at her wrists, like mourning clothes... the 1800's fashion. Her hair was severely pulled back in a bun and she had gray hair and she was leaning over me — but the thing that scared me the most was that she had no face. I screamed and my mom came to my rescue, telling me I was seeing things. But many years later I was in my teens and there was a family reunion at our farm. The subject of the Lady in Black came up and then we discovered just how many of us saw her. We never did find out her name, poor woman. The same house still to this day holds many ghosts, as many of my relations have seen another ghost, a great aunt of mine who passed from cancer years ago and many relations have also seen my great grandfather, they know it's him because of his bright carrot red hair!
I believe that I have seen another in a house we used to rent in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. Cupboard doors would be open after closing them, pictures would fall off the wall, the toilet, of all things would flush, bottles would fall over ...it was crazy. I found out that the man who lived there died in the master bedroom and was not a nice man to his family.
That, too, was the same year my grandfather passed on, June 1997. That Christmas we went to my grandmothers' 45 minutes away. When we came back home we found two framed pictures under the Christmas tree: one was of my youngest cousin and the other was one of me. I also had a handmade angel that would sit at the end of the hallway. It would do a 360 in about two weeks. I monitored it. I figured it was my grandfather just letting us know that he was thinking of us. It still brings me to tears to this day.
My grandmother crossed over in 2003 and my mom has her cat. Mom sees Grama all the time. Mom talks about how she sees Grama down the hallway. I don't see or dream of Grama, I only dream of Grapa.
