Interview with Heather Taddy
Monday December 3, 2007 8:32 AMHeather Taddy is the team documentarian for the PRS, and one of the stars of "Paranormal State." She's a senior majoring in Film and Media Studies at Penn State.
Emily: What inspired your interest in the paranormal?
Heather: While growing up I constantly heard my older brother and his friends talk about their adventures at haunted locations and their countless times that they've experimented with Ouija Boards. So as a teenager my friends and I would explore creepy places with history and there I would be with my video camera and Ouija Board just trying to find out if ghosts really do exist. I've always been interested in anything strange and the paranormal is definitely strange.
Emily: How are you preparing for the premier of Paranormal State? What's it feel like?
Heather: Right now I'm trying to make sure that I get all of my school work done so that I can be ready for finals in two weeks. I have also been shopping around trying to find a cool outfit to wear. It's definitely unreal to tell my teachers that the reason I'm missing class is because I'm going to the premier of a TV show that I'm starring on.
Emily: What's your favorite thing about being a part of the PRS?
Heather: The most rewarding part is knowing that we've brought satisfaction and joy to the clients, and hopefully taught them something. I love exploring and learning about the paranormal because there is always more to learn and the field is so fascinating. Plus the fact that I get to work with four extremely awesome people makes being apart of PRS even better.
