Feats of the Mind

What does psychokinesis actually involve? It's far more complicated than the comic books and movies will have you believe, and exponentially cooler.
Simply put, psychokinesis refers to the ability of the mind to influence time, space, energy or matter without the help of physical means. Psychokinesis and telekinesis are often used interchangeably, and the terms were first coined by researchers on the edge of science at the beginning of the 20th century. In today's research realms, psychokinesis can describe several specialized abilities, including:
Telekinesis, meaning movement of objects
Healing of the body
Influencing events
Teleportation
Shape-shifting
Manipulation of matter and objects (including spoon bending)
Just as with other aspects of the paranormal, belief and skepticism about psychokinesis coexist in vociferous fashion. Beyond the true believers and witnesses, many common everyday folks believe that the mind's powers are more than we may understand or see. Even many scientists are hesitant to rule out the existence of psychokinesis, contending that throughout history the things we hold true today were once thought impossible or ridiculous. On the opposite side of the spectrum, skeptics point the large number of fakes, illusionists, and others who only have anecdotal evidence on their side.

I believe in psychokinesis and had a successful experiment with it in college. I had purchased a book called "Intangible Evidence." One portion of the book addresses telekinesis, psychokinesis, teleportation, etc., and provides relaxation exercises to put you in the proper mindset for such activities. Long story short, I did the relaxation exercise and started "sending" a message to one of my five roommates, whose bedroom was directly above mine on the second floor of the house we rented. "Mike, check the lock on the door" was the message. After about 30 minutes of "sending" the message, I heard someone come downstairs and check the lock on the front door. The next morning at breakfast, I asked if someone had come down last night. Mike said it was him, and that he suddenly had this urge to make sure the house was locked up. I didn't say a word to him or anyone in the house about my experiment. I knew it had been successful, but I didn't want my roommates to think I was nuts!

To me it sounds like you had mind sent a message to your friend there Greg. The term mind send for me is actually involved with a comic book series called Elf Quest. However it doesn't sound the same, for you had sent a message and there was no feed back.. I think if people actually did those relaxation exercises you might be able to talk to one another through your minds. And i think that would be a great feat. However i'd have to look up this book and test it between me and my friends to see if it's actually possible.

I do believe that there are more to our minds than what we know as far as basics. I do believe in talking with the dead or even other sentient beings, be them angels or demons. I believe this because you never know. This world is full of stranger things, that we really have no idea about. Things that are hidden underneath our surface within people who aren't willing to talk so openly about... So yeah i believe that we have the power to do things that many would think impossible.

When i was about 14 years old I experienced an odd phenomena with three other girlfriends. We were in the habit of playing Kaiser after school and were quite passionate about it. All of us were about the same age (14-15). During one particular intense game(a best out of three) a small plastic ashtray levitated about three feet off of the coffee table where we were playing, hovered for a second then landed gently back to the same approximate place it levitated from. I can still remember the sound of the three little legs making a click, click, click sound as it settled. We have no idea what brought it on but I suspect it was our telekinetic energy ...
